Erik contemplates his loss with Faneel while sitting on the bench in the courtyard. While mending his wounds, he replayed the events that led to this conclusion. He analyzed the prospects of applying to other clans. He still couldn't get over the fact that a 1st channel guy defeated him. However, he couldn't help but admire that the guy was gifted. He easily dismantled his defenses and was able to see through his illusions.
While frustrations gnawed at him. Erik promised himself while bandaging his wounds. He wouldn't make the same mistakes again. Underestimating Faneel and taking him lightly had cost him dearly.
The courtyard buzzed as the subjects and other enforcers of the clan were spectating other spars. The match between Faneel and Erik captivated the audience's attention. They were still discussing the nuances of the fight with each other as a true warrior enthusiast.
As Erik decided to exit the courtyard of the clan. The guy with a tatted arm called him, "You will be my junior."
Erik turned around to see the person. The individual was a human, he was built like a bull. Tattoos, all over his arms, and a bald head. His eyes were full of determination. The man possessed the aura that even in the elites of the Thrall clan, his presence commanded respect.
Vice leader interrupted, "Do you want him Karasue?"
The tatted guy replied while giving a curt nod, "Yes."
Erik who was bewildered by the conversation taking place, pleaded, "Don't you all want my opinion."
The vice leader Gyro spoke, "Do you want to be part of the Thrall clan or not? You couldn't have asked for a more decent tutor. Karasue is one of the powerful mages of the clan."
Erik's eyes widened, the tatted guy, was built like a warrior. The spikey hair boy would have never guessed, that someone with such a jacked physique would wield magic.
"I want to be part of the Thrall clan. But I want to know, Erik spoke with determination. Why does the senior want me?"
Karasue's voice was low and hoarse." I see potential in you. I can take your abilities beyond your current limits."
Faneel, perceiving from a distance, thought to himself. Erik was indeed powerful, he couldn't have beaten him without keeping his life on the line. Due to his lineage as a Belliege wolf, he was able to overcome the attack. If it was any other warrior, then they might not have survived the onslaught.
Karasue addressed, "It's settled then. Make yourself available tomorrow in the training gymnasium, I will teach you how to crush warriors."
As Erik bowed, Karasue left the Thrall's courtyard along with his entourage. He looked intimidating but he had to depend upon him to understand the inner workings of the Thrall clan.
Cloud, who was observing the event, came across Faneel. "It was a tough match, wasn't it?" He said in a calm voice.
Faneel looked behind. "Cloud! Indeed, it was. I got lucky."
Cloud, "Give yourself some credit. You indeed need training, you only survived because of your lineage. Had you not outplayed him, you might have lost."
The wolf answered while meeting the stern gaze of the Thrall's ambassador. "I understand. I am new to this, but I will prove my worth to the Thrall clan."
As Cloud and Faneel are talking, Gyro joins them.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Gyro slings his arms around Cloud and Faneel. He exclaims, "It seems both of you have met each other. Cloud will be looking after you from now on.
Faneel, you were amazing in the fight. I didn't expect you to win the match. It seems you have got quite a promising future."
As Gyro congratulated Faneel, he moved out of the courtyard, leaving Cloud and other spectators still observing the other fights.
Thud! Thud! A spar was taking place, and a guy with a cape was mercilessly beating his opponent. It seemed that his spar partner was already unconscious. But he was ignoring the arbitrator's request to stop.
Cloud goes near the guy and catches his arm. "Stop! Can't you hear the arbitrator?" His voice turned cold.
The boy, his face full of mark burns scars, sneered. "I didn't want to."
The malice was visible on his face. Cloud assertively responds, "Do you want to be kicked out then?"
Before the kid could act out, another guy intervenes, "Please forgive him, ambassador, he is a bit slow on listening to instructions."
Faneel watched the exchange, and he understood that there were troublesome characters in The Thrall clan that he would have to deal with sooner or later.
On the outskirts of the park of Sinki, in the girl's dormitory. Arva Ellis sat beside a girl named Mira. Both of them met each other on their first day. Mira Brown is a dwarven warrior girl. The elf and dwarf were able to build a good rapport with one another, adding depth to their newly formed friendship.
Despite being quite small, Mira was beautiful. She was graceful and polite to Arava.
Arva questions curiously, "Did you join a clan?
She pauses for a bit and asks, Or have you received any offers?"
Mira shook her head and answered while folding her clothes. "No, not yet. Have you received any?"
Arva while throwing a small ball back and forth while laying in the bed. "I did receive but I didn't trust the person?"
The elf girl looks at Mira sternly and asks, "Do you know Crismi Van Mayer?"
Mira's expression darkens. "I don't know her personally, but the things I heard about her are not good.
She does not have a good reputation within the dwarven community. I have heard that, she often exploits the people who join the clan, she is affiliated to?"
Arva nodded. "The impression I got from her was that she was up to no good.
If you have not joined any clans, do you want to ally with me? There are too many untrustworthy variables in Sinki, and I want to stick with you."
The dwarven girl retorts, "I will probably join the Minsk clan. Will you join me? I think together we could watch each other's back."
Arva smiles and exhales. "Sure, why not?"
In the hallways of the Thrall clan, the enforcers of all grades were assembled. They were lined up according to their grade. The atmosphere was tense, and the sheer energy in the assembly was incredible. The enforcers of IV to VIII grades were in the assembly organized by the clan leaders.
An orc-faced senior addresses, "You guys have not done a proper job? Some inductees are defeating you all. How can you call yourself an enforcer?"
"Pikey do you have anything to say." The orc guy calls him out.
"No, sen'ior. I can on-ly say that it won't h'appen again."
Orc yelled, "Those of you who have failed to secure victory against inductees, come forward."
Out of ten enforcers, four of them stepped up.
The orc continued, "Those who have failed will serve as entertainment for the assembly. Line up in the front."
All enforcers of the clan disperse and stand in the small colosseum built within the gym.
The four fourth-grade enforcers stand in the middle of the gymnasium, looking agitated and in anticipation.
Pikey yells in gaelish accent, "Line up, yo basta'rds, somthing is h'ere."
As he yells, a chimera steps into the room. It has a rhino's face, horses' four legs, long sharp horns, and the exoskeleton of the scorpion with the rhino's armor.
An enforcer with a sword shouts, "It's probably magic beasts from the forests of Sinki. How can we defeat that?"
Pikey mutters, "Hol' you'r hors'es. It's moment to prov'e ye worth.
After consoling his fellow enforcers. Pikey grabs his mace, he channels his power for the fight, while Chimera charges at them.
The spectators' deck erupted with cheer as they witnessed the presence of a chimera in the gymnasium.
