Evil was approaching Portcan, and with it, death—yet no one knew it, and the surprise would be fatal. The lives of many innocents were in grave danger. Waiting no longer seemed to be the only option, as Uriel had already made the decision to face the enemy, and Remeiel was heading at full speed to assist her in battle.
The planet was at war. The cherub’s ambition had tainted the air, and the Patriarch had chosen to observe, leaving the world to its fate.
The Arcanian had already lost three of her best soldiers at the hands of the powerful young girl, who now threatened to make her pay for the crimes she had committed against the innocent—referring to Harmoni, Turiel, and the rest of the guardians.
Uriel swore that her strength was the punishment their world had sent against the Watcher. But the general of Arcan claimed that those whom the girl named didn’t deserve to be guardians, and that they died because they were weak. That, according to her, was the fate awaiting all the weak of the planet.
Her cruel words awakened rage and fury in the young girl, who declared that they had died for believing in and protecting the peace of AN.
Ramael spoke about what had caused her radical change in thinking and the truth that had been revealed to her, making it clear that everything they had been taught was a lie. She claimed that the king they worshipped had never cared about their kind or their world.
“That’s a lie... that’s a lie!” the girl screamed furiously, tears of frustration in her eyes.
“Fine, don’t believe me. I don’t care. I don’t owe an insolent brat any explanations,” Ramael replied.
“You’ve talked enough... it’s time to fight.”
“As you wish…”
One of the most impressive battles had begun. The clash of their energies caused powerful storms that shook the foundations of Querb. Ramael, known for her skills and praised among many other generals, would not be easy to defeat. Uriel knew the Arcanian was very dangerous, and if she let her guard down, she could be killed. That’s why she tried to attack cautiously, but doing so made it harder to land precise hits. Seeing her attacks were ineffective, she decided to use her technique:
“Lightning Strike!”
Ramael already knew that technique and easily stopped it with one hand.
“Oh, please… did you really think you could defeat me with that? My soldiers were weak enough to die from such a basic attack, but don’t worry, I’ve got something pretty to give you…”
“THE SILENCE OF THE DEAD SOULS!”
"The Silence of the Dead Souls" was a dark mist that moved at high speed, representing the death of souls and destroying everything it touched.
“What is that?!” Uriel exclaimed in fear.
Ramael’s terrifying attack caught the girl before she could escape, slamming her into the ground violently, leaving her unconscious and nearly out of combat.
“Looks like I went a little too far,” the Watcher murmured with a laugh as she descended. “Oh well, now I’ll cut off her head and deliver it to her beloved master… What the…?”
To her surprise, Uriel was stubborn and still alive. Struggling, but with courage, she managed to stand, blood dripping from her wounds.
“You haven’t beaten me yet, you witch!”
“You’ve surprised me, brat. I didn’t think you’d survive my attack. I have to admit you’re not an ordinary angel.”
“Don’t think it’ll be easy to kill me. My will is strong.”
“I see Daniel did a good job, but in that condition, you won’t survive my attack a second time.”
“Then why don’t you try?” Uriel challenged her.
“Fine… now I’ll show you who I really am!”
“THE SILENCE OF THE DEAD SOULS!”
Once again, the Arcanian launched her deadly attack against the critically wounded girl. She was certain that if Uriel received that power again, she would surely die. However, this time Uriel pulled out her final card…
“I’ve got something for you too!”
“LIGHTNING HURRICANE!”
When everything seemed lost for the girl from Portcan, a surprise attack burst through the thick destructive mist with a powerful scream. Uriel’s hurricane struck Ramael violently.
“This can’t be happening!” the confused Watcher cried out, hurled through the air by the hurricane’s power. “Where is she getting all this strength from?!”
“You deserved it. I’ve used all my resources… I hope you don’t get up again…”
After launching her surprise attack, Uriel, heavily wounded and weak, collapsed to the ground, thinking the Arcanian was defeated. But when she least expected it, Ramael rose once more, even more furious than before…
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“I must congratulate you. You managed to strike me like no one ever has. But it’s a shame… because you only scratched my skin. Now I’m…”
“FURIOUS!”
With her energy depleted, the young girl forced herself to her feet, surprised and a little afraid.
“Impossible! Where did you get all that power?”
The Watcher’s power had inexplicably multiplied—it now seemed unstoppable. At great speed, she lunged at the girl. Before Uriel could react, Ramael grabbed her by the neck to strangle her, lifting her off the ground.
“I… can’t… breathe… I have to…”
Licking her face, Ramael whispered in her ear:
“There’s nothing you can do. I’m going to kill you… and drink every last drop of your blood…”
Just as she was about to bite her neck, someone else arrived on the battlefield…
“FIRE CAPSULE!”
Remeiel joined the fight, and with one of her attacks, forced Ramael to dodge and release her victim instantly.
“Uriel! Are you okay? I can’t believe she tried to bite you… Don’t worry, I’ll take over now…”
Looking at the Arcanian’s sinister appearance, she asked:
“What happened to you? You look like a beast… What were you trying to do to Uriel?”
“You showed up just in time to interrupt my meal, and that’s put me in a terrible mood. You must be another one of that damned traitor’s disciples, which is why I don’t remember you, Seraph…”
“I’ve had enough of you! I’ll erase you both from existence!”
“Uriel, look what you’ve done—now she’s angry,” Remeiel teased.
“This is your fault for barging into our fight!” Uriel shot back.
“Fight? She was wiping the floor with you,” said Remeiel.
“What are you talking about?”
While the two young girls argued, Ramael, enraged, increased her power and rose into the sky, preparing to attack. Her dark energy covered the heavens.
“No way… is that her true power?” they both said, shocked.
“I won’t let you insignificant creatures insult and mock me! I’m a general of Arcan, one of the strongest! Now feel my wrath!”
“She’s going to kill us!” exclaimed Remeiel.
“It’s too late to regret it! Disappear!”
“DEADLY PRESSURE!”
“Deadly Pressure” was a technique that maximized the gravity surrounding the enemy.
Ramael’s brutal, destructive attack hit both warriors directly, leaving them badly injured, lying on the ground, nearly dead. Remeiel began trying to speak to Uriel through telepathy, while Ramael spoke to herself, victorious:
“Looks like they’re finally dead. It would be a real problem if there were more of those brats running around… You’ll pay for this, Daniel…”
“Uriel! Uriel! I know you can hear me, I’m speaking to your mind…”
“How can I hear you in my head, Remeiel?”
“It’s called telepathy, but that’s not important now. There’s one chance to land a final blow on this enemy…”
“I don’t have the strength to fight. There’s no way we can beat her…”
“You might be right. But are you really going to give up without trying one last time?”
“I’m too weak to face her. She’s too strong…” Uriel lamented.
“Your sword! Remember what the master said—they have their own consciousness, and their power is real…”
“That’s right! I forgot—I never even thought of using it…”
“This is the moment, Uriel. I’ll distract her, so get ready. You’ll only have one chance, and less than a second…”
“I’ll try!”
While Ramael muttered:
“I hope that idiot Lucifer is already attacking Portcan. Meanwhile, I’ll feast and bring their heads as a gift for Daniel…”
“What did she say?” asked Uriel.
“Don’t get distracted. Here she comes!”
As Ramael prepared to descend and take her victims, she was surprised to see Remeiel standing, staring at her.
“You again? I don’t understand how you survived my attack! Still, you’re badly hurt… you’ll die soon.”
“I don’t understand it either, but here I am. Looks like you got overconfident and forgot something very important…”
“What?” asked the Watcher, doubtful.
“That now it’s my turn to attack.”
“FIRE STORM!”
“Fool! You’ll never beat me with that!”
“THE SILENCE OF THE DEAD SOULS!”
As both techniques collided, Remeiel shouted:
“You’re the fool! Uriel, now!”
“What?” Ramael was caught off guard.
Uriel shot up from the ground and, teleporting behind Ramael at great speed, used her last resort…
“You forgot about me, you damned witch!”
“LIGHTNING SWORD!”
“This can’t be! That sword is…?”
“Now you’ll know what Harmoni felt, you monster!” Uriel shouted.
The powerful sword pierced through Ramael’s back, causing great damage and her eventual death. There was nothing the cruel Watcher could do. This time, victory belonged to the young warriors.
The sword’s effect caused Ramael’s body to begin burning and slowly disintegrating into the air.
In Serf, the sage and Rauel sensed that Ramael’s presence had vanished completely. It was a cause for joy—but they knew this was only the beginning.
The two warriors lay in a clearing, exhausted but happy to have won. However, there was no time to rest, as they remembered what Ramael had said about someone named Lucifer attacking Portcan. They realized this had been the plan brewing in Querb all along, the one that had killed the guardians.
Rising as best they could, they decided to go warn everyone and try to stop it.
At the gates of Portcan, the enemy was giving the order to attack. As expected, the main city was taken by surprise and chaos erupted. The city’s alarms, which had taken too long to sound, alerted citizens to hide urgently, but many had already fallen.
In Serf, the sage sensed what was happening and warned Rauel of the chaos, asking him to join the battle while calling upon Serf’s forces to intervene.
In Arcan, Artaqof learned of the death of his strongest disciple, and though he struggled to understand it, he informed the others. Asael, furious, wanted to go out for revenge, but the Patriarch forbade it, telling them that these were the consequences of their decision and they had to accept them.
“Seems those mysterious warriors are no joke…” the Patriarch thought.
The Patriarch and his generals gathered on the Great Mountain to watch the fall of the kingdom with their own eyes.
The forces of Querb broke into Portcan, unleashing chaos and slaughtering innocents. Some citizens defended themselves as best they could, but the invading army showed no weakness.
Portcan sent its forces to combat the enemy; however, the cherubs numbered in the thousands.
Rauel was on his way to Portcan to intervene when he heard Miguel’s voice in his mind, asking him to head quickly to the King’s castle.
Miguel contacted those who had the same ability: Rauel, Remeiel, Sariel, and Rafael. Everyone except Uriel and Gabriel, who didn’t yet know how to use it.
In Portcan, alarms rang continuously. Gabriel and his mother didn’t know what was happening, and the marching soldiers warned everyone to stay inside their homes.
“Something’s not right, I have to see what’s going on,” said Gabriel, worried.
On the way, Remeiel—who also heard Miguel’s call—told Uriel about the message. The girl was furious and worried about her city and family, but they knew that if Miguel was calling them, it was for something important.
The warriors received the call to gather at the King’s castle as soon as possible, while Querb’s rebellion wrought havoc on the city and blood was spilled without mercy.
“The end of an age is near,” thought Shemihaza in his chambers…
