  World: Volume 1 takes place in Meridia, a low fantasy world similar to medieval Earth, but with expanded medical technology. Magic exists in secret.

  Magic: Meridia utalizies a magic system of ether, with each person having a "Talent" that allows them to use one particular kind of magic, ie shapeshifting, mind reading, invisibility, etc.
