Chapter 88 Heaven! Cassock!
The old ancestor's breath broke out of the Fumo Golden Circle, and Bin Ku, a monk hiding in a small alley outside the Temple of Return to the Origin, was stunned along with his white-robed disciple Ye Xiang. The old monk's face turned pale, and the teacup in his hand crashed to the ground with a loud bang. The young monk looked bewildered, unsure of what was happening.
"Go!"
"Where are you going?"
"Of course not Tianzhu, hurry back to the temple with Shifu!"
……
……
In the back garden of the Temple of Return to the Origin, that great Buddhist robe with Buddha's light still floats in mid-air, shining brightly and majestically. It truly fulfills the poem of praise by our predecessors: "The three treasures are majestic and the Tao is revered, The four births and six paths are all commented upon. Enlightening the mind and cultivating the Dharma for human beings and heaven, Seeing nature and transmitting the lamp of wisdom. Protecting the body with the majesty of the golden world, Body and mind pure as jade ice. Since the Buddha established the robe, Who dares to cut off the monk's robe in a thousand kalpas?"
Underneath the cassock, the backyard was already in a state of chaos. Yi Tianxing punched the ground with one fist, and four fire dragons shot out towards the four masters from Jixiangtian, their bodies glowing with golden light, but with a hint of white heat inside. Anyone could see that the temperature was extremely high. Even if those four were high-ranking cultivators, who dared to touch them lightly? They hastily dodged away, and as their palms left the dark green Fumo Golden Circle, after this brief pause, the speed of the circle's rotation also slowed down, and the aura of the old ancestor weakened a lot.
Qin Zi furrowed his brow, and with a light flick of his left hand's ring finger, a large sword suddenly appeared out of thin air and charged towards Yi Tian Xing in pursuit.
Yitian Xing dodged and weaved like a monkey with rocket boosters, his hands moving in a blur as he abandoned the Shiganlu hand seal, using the Heart Sutra to control the fire wheel within him. From his elbow, a flame erupted, taking shape as a knife that shot towards the four auspicious Tian Gang experts without hesitation.
He learned this move from Linghu Chong in the Laughing in the Wind novel, Dragon Spring Battle, which hurts the opponent's weakest vital point first. Unfortunately, behind him is not a master of the Wild Fox Zen from the Mount Song Sect, but rather the biological daughter of the Upper Three Heaven Gate Master, the most exquisite young master in Jixiangtian.
Qin Zi'er's index finger lightly pressed on her own tiger's mouth, and a lan grass suddenly appeared in the palm of her hand.
The orchid gradually floated down, and within a distance of over ten centimeters, it gradually withered, dried up, and finally disintegrated into nothingness, leaving behind only a faint green mist that gently swirled in her hand.
True Orchid String!
Yi Tian Xing's residual light caught a glimpse, knowing that this technique was vicious. He pointed his right hand's fingertips to spew out heavenly fire, and with a wipe on his own pupils, he vaguely saw the trajectory of Zhen Lan's incoming attack. He quickly twisted his body, narrowly dodging it.
It was at this moment that the four auspicious heavenly masters once again stuck their palms onto the Vajra Demon Subduing Circle, and the speed of rotation of the cyan light circle also gradually accelerated. The pale blue color of the spell formation itself turned into a deep blue after turning pale again.
"I'm going!" Although he had always thought that nothing in the world could truly take his old master's life, for some reason, Yi Tianxing felt inexplicably tense today, with a somewhat ominous premonition.
In his haste, he sat in meditation for three flavors of the scriptures, and suddenly a brilliant light burst forth from the Heavenly Fire Knife in his hand. With an unstoppable courage, he made a horizontal slash, and a strange "whooshing" sound echoed through the air. Qin Zhen retreated back, and the two stood facing each other from a distance apart.
A strand of scorched yellow hair floated slowly down from Qin Ziyue's forehead.
"This young man's cultivation is advancing so quickly!" Qin Zier was somewhat astonished.
Just as she was astonished, Master Benku of Guiyuan Temple finally led Ye Xiang to the back garden.
"Amitabha Buddha." The old monk's face was full of compassion: "Young master, I only agreed to let you visit the back garden, but I won't allow you to behave recklessly here." As soon as he finished speaking, the sandalwood Buddhist beads on his wrist rotated and rose into mid-air, then descended onto Qin Zi's head.
Qin Zi stood proudly with one hand on his chest and his index finger slightly raised, like the petals of an orchid unfolding.
The Buddha beads condensed with great spiritual power were thus suspended in mid-air like a lotus flower.
Taking advantage of her momentary distraction, Yi Tianxing let out a loud roar and surrounded his body with flames, rapidly charging towards the four auspicious heavenly experts.
Those four masters stood in a formation of five elements missing one, mutually supporting each other. Seeing Yi Tianxing's attack coming, they didn't dodge or evade. The first person's shoulder shrank back, followed by the three people behind him shrinking their shoulders one after another, and surprisingly, it was like a wave slowly flowing and turning.
Yitian Xing's Tianhuo Knife chopped down on the airflow that was circulating above the four people's shoulders, which seemed to have a physical presence.
Plop!
The four masters were cut by a knife, with a piece of scorched flesh on their shoulders and a mouthful of blood spitting out. They were seriously injured, but they also took advantage of the momentum to successfully transfer Yitian's true yuan to the Golden Fowang Circle, making the pale blue light circle even thinner.
"I'll do it again!" Yi Tianxing couldn't have imagined that these auspicious heaven's old guys would be so stubborn.
He lightly bit his lower lip, the tip of his foot touched the stone slab, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw Master Bin Ku controlling the sandalwood Buddha beads with a solemn expression, facing off against Qin Zi. He steeled himself, inverted the Heaven's Fire Knife in his right hand, and suddenly floated to the side of a high-ranking Heavenly General. With his left hand, he pressed out a "Void but Real Buddhist Great Hand Seal" that was burning with flames, blocking the shadow of Zhu Shu's agile staff that was attacking from the diagonal side. He raised his elbow and lightly swung it, about to slash the bright red blade at the throat of the immobilized high-ranking general!
Easy to worry about the safety of ancestors in the thatched cottage, now can't care about so much, have to take drastic action!
Seeing the urgent situation, Qin Zi's already slightly pale face turned even more wan and forlorn. Her left hand's five fingers, like lotus flower petals, gently unfolded to cradle Master Bin Ku's sandalwood rosary imbued with the supreme Buddha's power. Her right hand's little finger lightly flicked, and a wind blade flashing with dark light shot out, heading towards Yi Tian Xing's ear root with an eerie whine.
A crisp sound echoed, and a young monk in white robes solemnly clasped his hands together, his left hand forming a large palm seal that barely dispersed the perilous wind blade within his palm.
At this moment, no one can stop Yi Tianxing from killing, with the scarlet blade of the Heaven Fire Knife only a thread away from the throat of the shocked but immobile Jixiangtian master.
Suddenly a burst of thunder rang out in the sky, the sound shook people's ears, and the last one was like an explosion that rang beside everyone's ears.
Everyone, including Qin Zier and Bin Ku Master, was shocked to the ground by this mighty voice. Only Yitian Xing, with his extremely strong physique, managed to stand up, but his knife that was about to slash at Jixiang Tian's throat also deviated slightly due to the shock, slicing past the high-ranking cultivator's left shoulder instead. With a soft whoosh, the high-ranking cultivator's left arm was severed and fell to the ground, but Yitian Xing's knife was the Heavenly Fire Knife, which seals wounds upon contact with blood. As a result, the severed limb did not bleed, making the entire scene look eerily like a wooden puppet having its arm pulled off.
Yi Tian Xing was also startled by the voice and the scene in front of him, stopped his movements, and his whole body was filled with a fiery energy waiting to be released. The slightly higher temperature around him made the air distort slightly.
For some reason, Master Bin Ku let out a soft sigh, put away his Buddhist beads, and left the backyard with Ye Xiang.
Qin Zi's face flashed with excitement, she knew that the real Tian Jiaoda array had finally started, and this person in the back garden of Guiyuan Temple... This sword of Damocles that had been hanging over her family's head for so long might be removed?
In the clear autumn sky of the provincial city, a drop of rain fell and landed on Yitian's face. With a slight hiss, it evaporated into thin air.
It started raining strangely.
A torrential downpour poured from the vast blue sky, drenching Yi Tianxing who was standing stupidly beside the Fumo Golden Circle. His abnormally high body temperature immediately turned the rainwater into steam, enveloping his entire body in a white mist.
Qin Zi also couldn't gauge the power of this Heaven's Robe Great Array, and her toes slipped on the floor, lightly retreating a bit further away.
The rain is getting heavier and heavier, and Yi Tianxing's heart is also getting more and more shocked. He vaguely guessed that this big formation was aimed at the old ancestors in the Golden Circle, and he and his people were just involved.
The heavy rain stopped abruptly after falling for who knows how long.
The back garden of Jieyuan Temple was hit by a strong gust of wind, and the Buddhist robe-like shadow floating in mid-air swayed gently.
The wind was incredibly fast, blowing the flowers and grass in the backyard to be damaged, flying sand and rocks, and the water in the small lake was blown like it was boiling. Yi Tianxing closed his eyes, stomped his feet heavily on the ground, and only managed to stabilize his body after sinking his entire calf into the ground. The four auspicious heavenly masters standing next to the Golden Circle were affected the most, being blown east and west, their facial wrinkles almost blown open like a flatbread skin, looking extremely disheveled.
The distant bamboo uncle inserted the bamboo stick into the ground, secretly casting a spell. The root of the stick grew out a large piece of rhizome, which was deeply rooted in the soil, making him stand more stable than anyone else. His right hand gently supported Qin Zi, who frowned at Yi Tianxing, who refused to back down. A strange expression flashed across his face, and he counterattacked with a palm strike, knocking Bamboo Uncle out of the formation. He opened his mouth and said: "Yi Tianxing, you'd better get out, you can't withstand it."
Although the wind was very strong, her voice still reached Yitian Xing's ears. Yitian Xing smiled coldly and didn't respond to her.
Qin Zi let out a melancholy sigh, his figure flashing past the other's side, and waited for the four elders to come out. But unexpectedly, after the violent rain and strong winds, lightning struck, countless fine threads of lightning filling the narrow space outside the rear garden of the Guiyuan Temple, as if having a spiritual quality that sealed off the exit route of the people inside the formation.
It's too late for anyone to back down now.
Electricity surged violently, countless thick lightning bolts as big as a child's arm shot out from the depths of the floating clouds, striking towards the pale blue Fumo Golden Circle. Amidst the deafening crashes, the pale blue light circle shook and tottered, while those people near the light circle were sent flying far away, spitting out fresh blood from their mouths.
Yitian Xing was not injured, but was knocked to the ground by the shock, and had a mouthful of mud made from dust and water. He spat it out, feeling the infinite power brought by the lightning, and his heart was racing with fear. Looking at the thatched cottage in the light circle again, everything seemed normal, but his master was silent and motionless, and he didn't know if the lightning had hurt him or not.
It was as if the old heaven had changed its face, and lightning struck continuously for more than half an hour, smashing everything that protruded in the entire backyard into powder. Fortunately, the center of the lightning strike was the thatched cottage where the ancestors were located, and the thatched cottage seemed to be protected by the ancestors' breath, without a single damage. Although Yitian Xing and Jixiang Tian's people were injured, they had not yet died.
This Buddhist formation is indeed strange, and Yi Tianxing secretly felt a chill in his heart. No wonder Benku Laohe retreated early in the morning.
Strong winds, heavy rains, lightning... what's next?
It didn't take long for Yi Tianxing to feel it, along with the auspicious heaven's top masters around him. This time, it wasn't the terrifying power of nature, but a feeling that seemed to come from human hearts.
It was sour, extremely sour, as if the entire small lake in the backyard had been filled with Shanxi aged vinegar. The air was filled with an intensely sour smell that made Yi Tianxing's nose twitch and almost fainted from the unbearable feeling. The nearest auspicious sky high hand could no longer bear it and started vomiting loudly. Qin Zi's face turned pale, his hands constantly pinching the static heart law seal.
Then it's spicy, just like God is a Sichuan chef who is now sprinkling chili powder in the backyard.
The air is full of spicy flavor, making it impossible to avoid.
Wiping away the tears that had been chili-ed out of his eyes, Yi Tianxing faced the majestic array of clouds in the sky and cursed loudly: "Damn your mother, cook rice for you!"
Then comes the bitter, so bitter that it makes your heart ache and lungs burst, so bitter that you don't want to live. How can this bitterness be described? It's like having a super invincible green bitter gourd from the universe being chopped into a paste and smeared on your tongue, or like drinking Huanglian (a type of Chinese medicine) as if it were Coca-Cola.
Years later, Yi Tianxing still remembered the taste. He once described it to Zou Lelie for half a day but couldn't explain how bitter it was and could only let out a long sigh: "That's...bitter!"
This truly heavenly being is not a pleasant person to deal with, and things are far from over. Bitterness comes before sweetness, and sweetness is originally a feeling that everyone likes, but no one knows that when it reaches its extreme, it's the most unbearable thing. The sky in the back garden of the Temple of Return to the Origin had just been washed by the rain, blown by the wind, and fragmented objects struck by lightning were also piled up in the corners, the entire scene was spotless, like a clear water wash, but unfortunately, the air was filled with the scent of sugar, so sweet that it made people feel sick, so sweet that it made people feel bitter, everyone's taste buds were invaded by this nauseating feeling, making them want to vomit.
In a daze, Yi Tianxing only thought of the famous snack in the provincial city, "Sanhe Ni" next to Qiqiao Bridge - "Sanhe Ni" is made with glutinous rice, black beans, sesame seeds, and lard added with a large amount of white sugar, known for its sweetness that has ruined countless couples from the province, only bitter tea can be used to send it down - he subconsciously let out a dry retch, his eyes slightly closed, softly moaning: "I'll never eat Sanhe Ni again!"
……
……。
Finally, it's salty, as salty as a salt block, as salty as old cured meat, salty like an elderly mother who puts five pinches of salt in her cooking, salty like the salt grains going wild after killing the private salt smuggler.
A slightly younger Tiankui master finally couldn't bear the spiritual torment, let out a loud cry and plunged into the small lake, gulping down water to try to dilute the salty taste in his mouth.
But all these flavors came from the invasion of Tianjia's Great Array on his divine consciousness. This master, even if he drank water, was like drinking salty dead sea water, and it was even more unbearable. He couldn't help but vomit loudly in the lake.
After this terrible attack on the sense of taste, there were few people in the field who could still stand up. Yi Tianxing relied on his abnormal body and strong nerves to barely support himself, while Qin Zi's face was pale, relying on Fa jue to barely cover his five senses and survive this disaster. Those few auspicious heavenly masters had long since fainted to the ground, motionless.
Yi Tian Xing was only worried about his perverted master, who was at the center of the large formation. He thought that the suffering he endured was much greater than what Yi Tian Xing and the others had to go through, and wondered if he could hold on.
Just then, the voice of Lao Zu Zong rang out.
"The practitioner's mind is inwardly empty, as are the mouth, nose, throat, eyes, chest, and abdomen. Since it is known that form is a multitude of troubles and emptiness is without trouble, therefore the mind delights in emptiness. If the mind is on form, bring it back to emptiness, and the mind will become soft and pliable. Gradually, the internal emptiness will expand, until one sees the physical body as being like a lotus root hole. As practice turns into skill, one sees that the body is completely empty, without any form. External forms are also thus; internal and external emptiness are both just one emptiness. At this time, the mind dwells on emptiness, without bounds or strength, easily leaving behind thoughts of form, peaceful, happy, and free. Like a bird in a bottle, when the bottle is broken it can fly out, soaring through empty space, unobstructed. This is called the initial formless concentration..."
A sound like the great Yu's bell began to rise gradually in the backyard, striking the hearts of the disheveled crowd.
