"-and so we're sorry to say that your application to the Intergalactic Guild of Superheroes has been rejected. There will be no further considerations. Thank you very much for your time Mr. Michaels."
"...Are you fucking kidding me?"
Let's start from the top, shall we? My name is Erik. Erik Michaels. I'm 20 years old this coming September, and as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a hero.
I've even participated in the exclusive 'hero course' provided by my academy. "You're guaranteed to get in as long as you finish the courseload," they said. BUT I DID! SO WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

"Apologies Mr. Erik, but your powers as an electromancer, while strong, have deemed 'too dangerous' by the guilds top officials. It's really a shame, but perhaps you could work as an electrician?"
Perhaps none of you understand how powers work in this world. To put it concisely, electromancers are the rarest class of magician in all 79 of the registered galaxies. I'm talking one in a billion type rare. It goes without saying that it is extremely difficult to get a mentor locally. And so I had to teach myself all the details! And I thought I did pretty good too! So why did I get rejected?!
"So why did I get rejected?" I asked the interviewer. "Well Erik, I can't tell you. The decisions of the Guild are always considered confidential."

"So... I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave Erik. Sorry for the trouble."
"Hell NO I'm not leaving!" I yelled. "I want an answer!"
