It has been a week since the meeting at the UN, and for the bad luck of Goji and Joy, they haven't been able to go back to LA. At this moment, Goji is on the phone calling Thori .

With a final goodbye to the nervous science girl, Goji puts the phone in her backpack . She is inside a locker room; many of the lockers are already closed, and she is the only one left . She softly takes out a sports top and puts it on. Then she puts on a bck military vest and a pair of military gloves. With her backpack ready, she goes out of the room and walks through the base. Waiting near the exit is Joy in her own combat gear, the staff in hand as she opens the door.
- So? All good with Thori? - Yeah, she said she is okay and that she can take care of the pets... I didn't tell her what happened, though ; she would only worry... - Indeed, that's good . Are you more calm now? - Yes, my dy.
The two stand in front of the military pne. Supplies, equipment, and soldiers are being moved through here . She can see the countless vehicles around and the many pnes moving through the sky : jets, bombers. Then the formations of helicopters move , full of soldiers and hunters... all moving towards the south. The duo moves towards where a helicopter is being prepared to take off, and they sit inside.
- So what is the situation? Why are we literally moving all we've got? The report said it was only a skirmish, no?
- Well, it was supposed to be only a skirmish... until in fucking Charlotte, the monster opened a Gate with the corpses and blood of millions of people . The st satellite image view showed all the streets covered in blood and corpses transported from all the East Coast. All the ones that weren't too broken or weren't used to open smaller gates were used here . A 20-meter tall and wide Gate opened in the center of the city, and what one could only call a swarm of gnolls practically filled the city , followed behind by an organized army of the hollow armors- all ranks from the iron ones, gold ones, and I suppose new fucking shiny metal husks of radiant emerald green... - Oh... seems you are quite stressed, but this isn't anything new, no? Just a bigger army... at least we have air support, no? - ..... - We have air superiority , no? Joy?
The silence stretched as three other hunters joined the helicopter , and it took off towards Washington D.C . Joy didn't answer the question, but she took out her tablet and passed it to Goji . On it, a video is pying ; a drone has moved towards Charlotte, and the huge army of gnolls and hollow armors can be seen moving through the pce . Like a professional army, they are seen reinforcing the location more than it was before, the green armors with maps in hand and gnolls putting up tents. After it seemed no more monsters could come out of the gate, she could hear a roar, simir to her own but weaker. Moments ter , dragons, wyverns, and giant eagles came out of the gate in a semi-ordered fashion ; they soon took flight, and after some seconds, a rge eagle took down the drone . The video ends, and Goji passes the tablet back to Joy.
- Dragons... that's... something.
- Indeed, it is quite something, no? This image is from two days ago . They moved quickly and took out the cities of Norfolk and Richmond . They are moving now towards the Capital and through Deware. We are struggling to kill the new monsters ; they are too small, and they don't appear on radar because they use mana to cover themselves and protect themselves with mana too . The dragons do this effectively, and against our deepest desires, they have enough intelligence to fly low and use buildings and objects as cover . At least the wyverns and eagles are stupid enough, so they are easier to kill... but there are too many . Half our air equipment was lost in the first attacks of monsters through the gates without being able to get them in the air . Then they were redistributed through the fronts, and now we are dealing with these. We will be deployed near the anti-air positions along the frontline, which are the objectives of the monsters . The pn is that our ground troops will defend inside the trenches along the frontline; they will suppress them and will have artillery support . We will act as a mobile defense operative . We will help any close positions that are being overwhelmed, giving priority to the air-defense positions . I know they put us together, but I don't really know if we will be given any other hunters or if it will just be us, so be prepared . We will get there in an hour or less...
As the final expnation ended, Joy directed her gaze to the tablet, reviewing reports and responding through the radio . Through the open door of the helicopter, Goji can see the rge quantity of troops, vehicles, and armament being transported to the frontline. The sun hasn't even reached its peak, but Goji already knows it will be a difficult time, and she really doesn't know how long this will be...
