Chapter 11: Time Travel & LitRPG : What Comes After Death

  Present (The Little Girl)

  Piano Sonata Number 17.

She was not feeling well. She knew that there was something wrong with her. Then she remembered that she was dead.

However, the little girl did not realize that she was not dead until she had returned to the realm of nothingness.

  Piano Sonata Number 18.

The Golden Card has been given to her.

There was the address of her next location—the Mausoleum of the Dead.

She politely asked the angel with golden wings where she should sit, or whether she should wait for instructions.

He silently looked at her and then said, “But you are not dead.”

  “I am not dead?"

“Yes, you are not. What are you doing here?”

“But I was sure that I was dead. I am not feeling well.”

The angel nodded his head. He was silently judging her.

“Indeed, you are not feeling well. You are mentally ill, human child. But you are certainly not dead. The one who is dead is Peach Mitani. The real you resides in another timeline.”

“What does this mean? How do you know that?”

“Human child, you have looked into the abyss; now the abyss looks into you. That is why you should never look into the abyss.”

“I don’t quite understand what you are saying.”

“I am saying that it is time for you to return to your original body.”

“Original body? But I don’t want to return to my original body. I don’t think I am ready to accept the reality…”

  Piano Sonata Number 19.

The little girl felt like her whole flesh had been pulled apart. She then felt a tiny needle pressing near her heart.

Once again, her soul was trying to possess the body of the girl named Peach Mitani. However, she was now feeling the excruciating pain in her ears. She looked at her hands. Her hands were trembling. She felt another pain in her chest. She wanted to get that needle out of her heart.

She wanted to open her chest and heart and finally be free.

She could do that. She could do that at any minute. She just needed to sleep and accept her fate. Her body was just lying there, waiting for her to return.

She can sleep now. She has done well. She dared not bear the excruciating pain anymore.

She turned her head, ready to give in to her fate. Then she noticed something.

It was a boy. He was lying on a road.

His body was lying there, waiting for someone to possess it.

  She rushed out to him.

  Past (Dobu)

  Piano Sonata No. 20.

  I lost it.

I lost my hope. I lost my home.

My mother is dead. Her body is buried under a handful of earth and grass.

My father is married now. He is married to that evil witch. But before marrying our father, that evil woman had been our maidservant. She had been called Bori back then. However, now, Bori wants us to call her mother.

I think I want to kill her, but I can’t. I wish I were a bird. Then I would fly far away. My brother says that I cannot become a bird. He wants me to become a brave warrior. Because he wants to become a brave warrior himself.

I love my brother, but I am never going to become a brave warrior. I want to become a shaman. How cool is that, huh? Shamans wear pretty hats, and there are many bird feathers on them. The hat is the main attribute, which is why I think they look like a bird flying over the edge of the blue sky.

But that is not the only reason why shamans are cool. They can dance, they can curse.

It would be fascinating to be able to dance and curse, and I want to dance and curse.

I will be wearing my pretty neat hat and dancing.

  I will be invisible.
