What a horrible sight! I didn't think this was going to happen so soon. I tried my very best to treat Mosao, and he seemed good enough yesterday that everyone left him alone to heal. We thought he was going to survive. He did not.

We burned his body quickly today. Angelo seems very affected. I feel awful that I wasn't able to help him more than what I tried.

"Are you alright, Angelo?" I inquired.

He nodded, "It's just that there are only seven of us left now. There used to be so many of us. It was so nice. Now, it's just us. We're all close because what is there left?"

I sighed, "Don't worry, Angelo. Life is looking up for us right now. We will fight to make sure that we get out of this winter, even if we only make it to the village. Is that good?"

He nodded again. What else was I supposed to say?
