Sunrise? I can still see the moon

What a wacky couple of days it’s been!

I didn’t get to write yesterday. My pen ran out, so I had to trek all the way to Walmart, the only store I know I saw writing materials at, to get more.

I like using the right pen. It needs to be gel and glitter and pink. Absolutely no exceptions.

But while I was out, I spotted a few people moving down the street. At first I thought it was just another stray couple of mumblies drifting my way like usual, but no. It was them.

They actually came back, like, a third time. The fuck is their problem?

  And they definitely saw me.

Pretty sure they followed me all the way home from a distance. They didn’t shoot me, so at least they’re somewhat respectful.

But shortly after I got inside, they barged right inside and started threatening me, yelling at me.

The fucking nerve. Coming into my house and demanding to hand over my friend.

Who the absolute fuck do they think they are? I almost straight-up ughed in their faces.

I stayed calm, of course. I let them believe for a moment that he was going to be “handed over.”

That is, until they tried to yank my friend out of my living room by force. They were hurting him. Obviously, I wasn’t going to let that happen. I guess being civil is off the table.

I told them they had the wrong person, that is my friend.

They realized they were sorely mistaken.

And after all the arguing and shouting, they quickly apologized.

One of them offered me his leather jacket as a weird token of apology. It was acceptable, I guess, so I took it. I can vibe with the biker gang aesthetic.

But as for the other one, he gave me the best apologetic gift. A bunch of fresh meat. Still warm, too. I couldn’t compin.

Now that is how you win a girl’s heart, give her some good food!

Once they left, I made sure to clean up the mess they made and comforted my friend who was still shaking from all the commotion. He always does that when things get loud around here. The poor thing, but I can understand.

I sat him back down by the fire and opened up a can of peaches for him. He still won’t eat meat, so I’m starting to assume he’s a vegetarian or something. Unfortunate.

But, what can I do, y’know?

The mumblies outside were unusually loud after that. Maybe they also disapproved of unwelcome guests on our street.

  Afternoon

My friend got hurt today. Not badly or anything, just kinda annoying.

He fell over and scraped his hand I think. Luckily, I have plenty of bandages and stuff I snagged from Walmart.

My one true sanctuary for nearly everything I need.

I wrapped up his hand. No bleeding, thankfully. All clean, I used some rubbing alcohol.

He’s quite the handful sometimes! If I didn’t notice him holding his hand, he probably wouldn’t have told me he was in pain.

  Twilight

  It’s those clouds again.

The big, puffy, swirly ones that look like angry, bloody cotton candy. The rain will be here soon. I look forward to the quiet.

I kind of miss cotton candy, in a way, now that I think about it. All the times I spent at carnivals and amusement parks.

I miss my grandparents, especially my grandmother. She was my real parent.

Anyway, I need to clean up my wn before the rain starts. The less mess the better.

Because if I don’t do it, the mumblies will.
