Brother Zarin

Brother Zarin, the teacher of the Dissonance Agents burgeoning proto-forces was the originator of the ritual magic that required only words and not constant sacrifice. As until this point Son after Son was utilized as a catalyst for lack of true Willpower and killed in live dismemberment rituals that induced adrenal responses to force a spike in Drive in their demiurgul psychic battery. The birth of Ritual gave rise to Goethemy and eventually the DA Warlocks. The practice of Goethemy allowed invokation; a direct conduit of power from the patron deity that each Warlock pledged themselves to. This Goethemic connection can be measured by ones Psyk a unit measured in a non-euclidean function f(x, y) = (x^2 + y^2)^(1/3) a structure assigning its value accordingly as a quotient in which F equals willpower and Y equals Drive with X representing Psychic baseline. The output being a Psychic Well/ Power Output reading. A psychic baseline of 500 with a Willpower of 123 and a Drive boosted to 600 the resulting Psyk quotient equals 300k/85. The same function can be used to calculate the geometry of the Cyclopean structures that adorn the visible rendition of the Compendium through the use of the three-dimensional measurement system introduced by Brother Gotn in which the quotient instead becomes a measured distance through archaic mathmatics. However, Zarin did not discover this functionary as the use of Euclidean mathematics became viable and continues to become viable after the discovery of Tha’olthass’ Dormant Trauma by Brother Gotn later in each cycle.

Brother Zarin formed the original houses of Goethemy and induced the houses into their accepted forms amongst the inhabitants of the Spine. Of these houses the lesser of the trio was named Debinare for it housed the patrons of the Lesser deities whose duties set in satiating the endless cry for Worship; the middle house was named as Secundius for the housing of secondary gods and the worship of Brother Saints who’s mutilated holiness departed endless unfathomable knowledge to their willful patrons and deep Cthonaut scholars; the highest house was named as Apiceimum for it was this house that held the pinnacle of the pantheon of Tha’olthass. The direct worship of those that ascended to Deific power and beyond the structural ideation of what can be conceived.

Brother Zarin resides on the second page of the Epilogue, his unending eyes seeing all that is to come of his scion. Each eye sees unending until it dries and crumbles falling away into ash around him as new eyes bud and grow in place of the gaping wound left behind. The functional eyes leave grotesque trails of blood, mucus and tears along the surfaces of the realm they inhabit as Zarin’s Willpower sought him only knowledge of what he could directly interact with forcing him to withstand his eeriely haunting physical form for eternity until cycled back to start his inevitable gruesome fate over again. His ghastly malformed visage is not worshipped in the way the other Patrons are as the Incantation to convene with Zarin is used as a sorting ritual of sorts after Zarin, in his Brotherly form, was devout in his direction of new Warlocks of the Goethemal Arts to their fated designations. So too does his ritual call forth his devotion to Tha’olthass and his deep need for organization to his unending consciousness.

Come and guide us devoted Brother

Show the way to this son

Guide my path as you would another

And find my home O’ fated one

With this ritual one begins the steps into their journey as part of the Dissonance; an agent that plays as a subconscious thought to Tha’olthass in order to adjust the cycle as needed so the War may play out in its inevitable fate unmarred by new players introduced by unfathomable entities dreamt up by the Great Daydreamer himself or rogue Brothers seeking their own doomed glory.
