  The sun had risen and smoke was already done preparing, he wasn't one to wait for the sub to be seen before getting in the road.

  "You're ready........ Already?" Chloe asked she had heard him get up but didn't utter a word to him until now.

  "Yh........."smoke replied he had his shotgun on his arm and his handgun in its shaft.

  "So you're ready to go then" Zack interrupted them both. He rose from where he laid his gazed fixed on smoke as he did.

  "Yes.....you don't gotta tell me twice" smoke Said walking towards the door he then stopped as he got there.

  "Look, I advice you come with me......, the north ain't gon be safe for long trust me, the hordes is coming and no one is stopping it"smoke Said

  "We're coming along" Chloe said as soon as some made his speech but was surprised when Zack said otherwise

  "We're not coming" Zack said

  "What?" Chloe asked stareing at Zack, who also was surprised at her response to smoke.

  "So which is it?.....ya coming or what?" Smoke asked, he wanted to leave as soon as possible, the further away from the north as possible when the horde hits he thought.

  "Look we aren't going Chloe......., we aren't sure if what he said is the truth and even if it was which actually isn't we'll survive like how we've always done it" Zack had spent the night thinking about what smoke Said and had still found it hard to believe what he said

  "A horde that big doesn't actually exist, that's all bogus" Zack added

  "And if he is right and we both die cause you refuse to trust a guy you just met does that make it any better, look Zack it's all about surviving we can still do that elsewhere, but for now it's better to play it safe" Chloe tried persuading Zack to change his response but Zack has already made up his mind

  "No Chloe.......... playing it safe is surviving as long for as long as we can" Zack said placing his hands on her shoulders "we can do that here" he added.

  Chloe wasn't sure why Zack wanted to stay and didn't want to leave, why was he so fixed on staying there, why did he feel like going out would have him killed, why was he afraid of traveling, that she thought but would find out later if they were to ever meet again, her mind was made up, she was going to live with smoke, she had wanted Zack to come along too.

  "I'm leaving Zack, I'm sorry" she let out a sigh taking Zacks arm off her shoulder slowly.

  Chloe quickly packed up taking the things she was sure she needed and alittle more bandages which Zack had given to her on their clinic raid some days back.

  "I'm sorry Zack..., hope we meet again" she said giving him a peck on the chin as she headed out with smoke who had still tried persuading Zack to tag along but he refused.

  He had never felt this empty before, his heart ached for some reason he didn't know about, he missed her already, or maybe he missed having some company, the day he found her he had promised to take care of her and that he was gonna do. He quickly picked up his gun and a bag which had the equipments he used and ran after them, what was he thinking, he didn't know as the only thought in his mind was to catch up to her no matter what.

  "So how long have you known him" smoke asked. They were walking heading for the fuel station not far from the base Zack and Chloe stayed, smoke had a plan to get a car and some resources for the road from there. He had a map with him a huge one at that Chloe wondered how he got it but could push herself to ask.

  "A long time" she replied she looked sad smoke could tell from her expression"wished he came along huh?" He asked as they both crouched past two zombies at the other side of the road using the cars to hide their presence and not make themselves known to the enemy beside them.

  "Yh........, just can't figure out what the hell that place means to him, and why he doesn't plan on leaving" Chloe replied

  "We can still head back, bag him up and drag his crazy ass with us all the way south" smoke joked trying to force a smile out of Chloe which actually worked, she smiled stareing at him "yh right" she replied.

  They had gotten some meters ahead when Chloe heard some leaves behind her Rustle, she quickly turned around pointing a gun behind her to her surprise it was Zack who had made it Rustle, he had stepped on them while crouching behind them.

  "Surprised?" He asked getting an unexpected hug from Chloe, he hadn't expected such a thing from her. He hugged her back then let go to stare at smoke

  "I'll be tagging along" he said slowly getting off Chloe's hold "like I said before, we'll get your memories back together" he said

  "So what's the plan?" He asked, he knew smoke ha a plan as he seemed like someone who wouldn't just explore a vast area without a plan or a way to get it past the night.

  "What makes you think I got one?" Smoke asked

  "Cuz you look like you do" Zack replied but smoke smiled in response continuing his trek for the fuel station while the rest behind him followed
