Bryan made his way to the elevator and saw Kyle and Jessica waiting for him there while wearing casual clothes instead of the formal suits, "I see that you two are learning to be comfortable while on duty, Jessy is even waring a running shoes in case she needs to follow me step by step." He teased the beauty before looking at Kyle and adding : "So, did you get a taste of "Natalie" st night? Or... Did Charlotte keep getting in your way?" Bryan was smiling in amusement and Jessica's eyes brightened when the chance to gossip about the love live of her handsome and stoic partner came to surface!

  *Ehm*

  Kyle cleared his throat while covering his mouth with a fist and just when Jessica was starting to feel disappointed since it doesn't look like this fellow is going to share any juicy details he opened his mouth to say : "Ms. Natalie was very busy all day yesterday and it took almost all of her and Auntie Charlotte's time just to prepare the pce for the tests and examinations Olivia is going to undergo but, while helping her bring some tools and hardware parts from the repository she jumped me all of a sudden and kept begging me almost in tears to teach her how it's done."

  "Damn it! You lucky bastard." Jessica said while thinking : 'Why am I the only one not getting any fun? David is right down there!'

  "We both know that you can wrap that fellow around your finger like a ring if you want, stop hesitating." Kyle said while giving his partner a rare smile.

  *Tsk*

  Jessica clicked her tongue and crossed her arms while frowning, "What do you know? I want this to have a meaning... I want it to st."

  Kyle shrugged, "Anyway, I stopped Natalie from forcing me to go all way in the end, tonight I'm taking her on a date and afterwards I'm copying Bryan's first night with the dies. David helped me ask his uncle to book the suite and reserve the roof for me for a couple hours, Natalie wants to try having her first in the pool."

  "Remind me not to get in that thing unless the staff confirm emptying it first then cleaning it with hard chemicals before filling it back!" Jessica scowled while teasing her partner who shrugged again and Bryan nodded to agree with the woman.

  Once he got in the elevator with the two of them he asked : "Which floor is the chef and nutritionist's working area and which one is the dining are? Also which one did Lisa decide to make her infirmary?"

  "The kitchens and dining area are the same floor beneath our sleeping and living quarters, Lisa took the second floor because she want to make sure whatever illness her patients pick up doesn't ever get a chance to spread to the rest of us since the ventition system for the first three floors above the reception area is the only part which can be separated from the rest of the building... Right now she's almost done since the equipment, machines, and all the required components arrived with the first daylight today." Kyle said while pressing the dining floor since his employer must be very hungry since his rumbling belly is very loud at the moment which is making both himself and Jessica feel uncomfortable sharing a tiny space with him while Bryan in this state.

  "Oh~" Jessica hit her forehead with a hand dramatically while saying : "Lisa says that she can't wait for you to visit her to finalize the payment of all the equipment and machines that she ordered... She apologizes for taking it a bit too far when spending so don't be too "Hard" on her." Then she giggled when she saw Bryan squint his eyes before stepping out of the elevator to enter this floor which was half-empty on one side with only tables and chairs scattered between the supporting beams holding his building together, while the other half was an open counter and beyond it was the biggest kitchen he ever saw with his own eyes.

  "Who paid for all these renovations?" Bryan asked while taking a seat near the gss wall on the side facing the open scenery of the river and beyond.

  Kyle exchanged a smile with Jessica before nodding and she opened her mouth to say : "That would be Linnet," Afterwards she paused the add to the suspense just to tease Bryan, "She said that she's going to be the one to pay for this floor and the renovations of your private floor too, they contractors are already on their way as we speak."

  Bryan's face went pale, "Dey them!" He said before adding : "They're not allowed to enter my floor until the maids arrive to hide the traces o-"

  *Cough*

  "I mean clean my room." Bryan blushed slightly after saying that.

  Jessica smirked before nodding then made a call to David.

  "The diner, why?" Jessica frowned, "Yeah." Afterwards she gnced towards Bryan and added : "You could say that... Yeah... Sunny... You owe me another one... consider it a small one... Down... Humph... On me of course! Alright listen up, Bryan says the order of things can always be the maids first to clean his room before the contractors renovate the pce... see you soon." Then she simply ended the call and sat with Kyle on the same table with Bryan.

  Kyle gave the chef a few hand signs and the bearded man nodded before nudging the man who was sitting there in the corner near the gss wall on some recliner and reading a book, when the man folded his book and looked up while taking his gsses off the bearded man gestured with his temple towards Bryan while moving his lips without making a sound to say : "Boss." before turning to open the refrigerator and taking a few pre-prepared ptes and putting them in the microwave to heat up.

  The thin old man immediately put his book aside then put his gsses on and retrieved the most interesting file in the stack, then let his partner prepare the fresh ingredients while he himself took the role of retrieving the ptes with the measured and calcuted nutritional value... Even he couldn't believe that someone is able to eat so much in every single meal without gaining weight in fat or muscles and somehow being able to maintain the same body measurements!

  *Ding*

  Kyle and Jessica got up once they heard the bell on the counter being rung by the old man once he put some ptes on the counter, seconds ter they returned to Bryan's table with a pte in each hand before turning to make another trip back.

  But what surprised the thin old man who was watching Bryan while doing his job of keeping track of the nutritional value in this meal was that whenever Kyle and Jessica returned to take four more ptes from the counter after the first trip they made when they returned empty-handed... The following trips back to the counter from Bryan's table they'd be holding empty ptes in their hands each and every single time!

  Once the man took a look towards Bryan he saw him emptying the ptes in a few moves with the tableware in his hand while the soup bowls would be drank in single quick gulps and put aside before he focuses on the next target on the table.

  'Just how is he keeping up? This is ridiculous! It's defying all logic and science... Anyone with a ft belly like him with a body of that size can only hold half the amount of food he just ate in their stomach otherwise they'd choke or puke it all out if they don't slow down.' The man thought while feeling like all the studying he's done for almost half his life and all the knowledge he accumuted were useless in this situation.

  *Ring* *Ring*

  Bryan answered the call and wedged it between his shoulder and head after putting it to his ear because he wants both hands to be free while having his meal, "I bet Jessica wouldn't hesitate to castrate you if you dare look at my beautiful maids," Bryan teased David and took advantage of the coincidence when Jessica was putting two new ptes on his table, "Not to mention that I'd break your bones if you betray the trust of my loyal bodyguard and friend." He intentionally put the phone on speaker mode while saying that just to allow Jessica to hear David's answer and she paused to listen while giving Kyle the signal to make no sound.

  "With all due respect boss. Not even your dies are registered because in my eyes that woman is special... Very special." David said before adding : "The was she's able to read me and link up without me even having to try in the first pce is frightening me because I know that she's the one... Of course sometimes I hate it because that means that Jessica is the only one who can drive me insane with a simple snap of her fingers or calm me down from a rage with a simple look from her eyes." After pausing for a couple seconds he continued to say : "It's just like she's able to totally control my emotions however she likes and I don't believe there's any man who ever lived and breathed on the surface of this earth who'd dare say that they're comfortable having another person within reach that's able to manipute them without feeling threatened, sometimes I daydream about standing at the edge of an abyss which keeps calling me to jump and have faith that somewhere on the other side there's all the comfort, happiness, and joy there's in the world for me but... I keep hesitating which makes me feel like a coward."

  Bryan fell silent while looking at Jessica and noticed her shoulders shaking slightly while joy covered her face so much to the degree where she had to cover her mouth but the next moment she became so emotional that she almost cried and Kyle supported her then nodded to Bryan before taking her away to sit on a nearby table, afterwards Kyle resumed the task of being the waiter for his employer while his partner started to cry her heart out while covering her face.

  Bryan ended the speaker mode and put the phone back on his ear, "David. Our worst fear and biggest source of anxiety has always been the unknown," Bryan expined between bites, "The first rule for any healthy retionship is to always keep the door open for you and your partner to have a conversation no matter what, that's what makes things st and that's what keeps the ship holding you together going... Oftentimes it's much better to be heard even your partner doesn't agree with you." After saying that Bryan asked : "I really hope that things work between you two but I guess that's not what you're calling me for right?"

  David held his forehead before saying : "Of course not boss. Unc just called me and wants to meet with you, I didn't dare give promises on your behalf even if I'm getting disowned."

  "I don't want to meet that Governor Evan... The dude is an entitled prick!" Bryan said while shaking his head.

  *Sigh*

  "Phew... Thank god that fellow already left with his mutt and the ones with my unc is auntie Sofia and the other one being Derek the shipping hotshot." David said while throwing a celebratory fist in the air.

  Bryan thought about it for a while before asking : "What about my beautiful maids, did you take care of that for me?"

  David smirked slyly, "I just printed their files and on my way to you now boss, the ones you decide to hire would be here in thirty minutes."

  "And how many are there in the stack in your hand?" Bryan asked once again while using the fork and knife to slice the meat on his pte.

  "More than a hundred, all of them are younger than Jessica and like you requested their hourgss figures are the best there's while their beauty and character are guaranteed boss." David said while having a deja vu as if he experienced this moment before and now he's living it once again which gave him a bad premonition.

  Indeed Bryan confirmed David's spider-senses to be true when he said : "Hire them all and have them quickly put my building in order, start with my floor then yours then spread them and give them a four shift working schedule like yours... Also give them permission to your the training center and warn the others not to mistreat or bully them ever or whoever does is going to be in trouble." Afterwards he quickly added : "Let them mingle during their free time and make them feel welcomed, we don't want these dies to feel like their work environment is stifling... This isn't a prison and soon we're going to have our spot in the map where everyone could feel free to stretch their legs and go wherever they want whenever they want."

  David's eyebrows were raised and his eyes widened after hearing his boss giving him a hint to his future pns, after all his unc told him that Bryan is pnning to buy a piece of property from the government and Jessica told him that it's quite massive.
