"Here you go," Linda put more than a dozen ptes on the table and each one had a slice of a pie which had completely different topping and filling, Then she left that word before quickly setting a big teapot and some two small cups on the table.
"Thank you~" Elena cheerfully looked at the dessert, "This looks amazing Linda!" She said while wondering which one should she try first.
Linda smiled then dramatically bowed towards the two while saying : "Enjoy." Then took her leave.
Bryan poured the hot and extremely aromatic tea until he filled the cup without adding sugar then used the fork to cut a piece of the lemon pie first and gave it to Elena who obediently opened her mouth to eat it.
"Mmmm!" Elena moaned from joy while closing her eyes and cupping her cheeks after tasting this lemon pie which melted in her mouth.
"Now try this with it," Bryan held the tea cup and brought it near her lips, "Just a little bit because it's still hot." He moved the cup away when he saw Elena about to take a big sip.
Elena blushed after realizing that this annoying fellow is still in the mood to take care of her when she was already so absorbed in this romantic moment, but she still liked the way he's treating her because it's calming and soothing to have someone reliable like him in her life to depend on!
*Sigh*
Elena sighed because this combination was just perfect when the lemon pie is a bit sweet with a faint touch of sourness at the end which fit with the taste of tea afterwards to compliment it while washing it down.
Bryan took a sip after her and smacked his lips, "This tea tastes much better now but... How dare it touch my woman's lips, unforgivable!" Then he drank all of it in one gulp which frightened Elena because it was really too hot, "Don't worry sweetie, your man is immune to anything but you." He said while patting her on the top of the head twice.
*Snort*
"How dare you compare me to a disease?" Elena pinched his side while puckering her lips but she was happy deep down anyway.
"I wouldn't dare, I'm nothing but an insignificant man looking up and praying to a goddess from the mortal realm... Hoping to be blessed with downward gnce from you to earn a wisp of your eversting radiant glory." Bryan said while using the fork to cut a piece from a different slice then offered it to Elena while adding : "Here's a small tribute to you.. O holy goddess!" And smiled when she opened her mouth to accept the strawberry pie.
Elena was once again distracted by the addictive taste of mild sweet strawberry and the sticky white cream which filled her mouth, "This is heaven!"
But Bryan held tight to her while saying : "Don't go back just yet... Wait until I get my dessert!"
Elena blushed even harder then continued pinching his side while he just ughed and continued to do his job of feeding her pieces from the different pies until she tried all of them and was no longer able to eat anything else even with a gun pointed at her head.
Linda and Alex came back while carrying a stack of food boxes each then left the restaurant before asking Peter to open the trunk but he apologized because Bryan's car has no space left in the trunk and the same could be said about Elena's car, thankfully there was a lot of space in the two bck Range Rovers so this matter was solved quickly.
"You guys really didn't have to go through all trouble." Bryan said while taking Elena's hand and getting up once the husband and wife returned.
Alex gave him a long look which carried deep meanings of appreciation and gratitude as the seconds went by in silence, finally he didn't say anything and moved ahead to give Bryan a bear hug.
Linda was almost in tears because she understands that her man is finally able to breath again after carrying this burden in silence for so long now.
Bryan also understands because he saw Alex's health gradually deteriorate and signs of great suffering left long scar-like lines on his forehead and crowfeet on the corner of his eyes, he simply patted him on the back and said : "I got you brother, no body is going to bully you again... I promise."
"T-thank you Bryan... I mean it." Despite trying his best to stay strong and to control his emotions, Alex's voice cracked in the beginning before he held Bryan's shoulders at arms' length and looked him in the eyes as if trying to burn the image of his benefactor deep in his heart.
Elena tightened her grip on Bryan's hand while watching Alex's pair of respectful eyes almost worshipping her man and felt proud of herself in having caught his eyes in the first pce!
However, Elena was quite curious since now she wants to hear about the story behind Bryan's care for these two.
Linda gave Elena a hug while saying : "Don't be a stranger, come visit anytime you want to eat something different or even if you just want to chat... I'm a good listener and I know a lot about Bryan if you want to have some dirt on him."
Elena smiled mischievously while stealing a gnce at Bryan's expression which soured a bit after Linda betrayed him just like that.
"Take care you two... I'll kidnap every one of your future children if you dare make someone else other than myself the godfather!" Bryan shouted that while waving goodbye and enjoyed seeing Linda blushing and sticking out her tongue towards him as she hugged on Alex's strong arm who smiled proudly but Bryan turned to look at them after helping Elena enter the car and added : "Also don't forget about what I told you before, with your current menu you're only going to end up working yourself to death in a big pce like this. Just recruit a few of the promising ones from back in the street and give them shares of the profits according to the traffic of your restaurant, also... Expect an accountant to come knocking soon to take care of keeping the numbers straight because I know that both of you are terrible in management."
Linda gred at him and gestured with her finger, "You're the terrible one here young man! I'm so going to expose every skeleton in your closet now... You're dead, do you hear me?"
Alex held his woman and smiled because he knows that doing so would make her feel confident in saying more under his protection.
Bryan shrugged as if to say : "Scream all you want dy... It's still the truth." then got in the car next to Elena who was smiling and waving goodbye after lowering the window to this person who seems like she's going to be fun having her company in the future.
Bryan rolled his eyes at Elena who was leaning over him and sticking her head out the window which annoyed him because it isn't safe to begin with... Not to mention her hair which kept getting pushed by the wind to whip at his eyes!
"Better stop before I spank you on your sweet butt my sweet dessert... I can't wait to eat some Sloppy-Crotch Bunny." He whispered while his left hand moved up her leg starting from her calf.
Elena immediately took her seat and didn't dare test the authenticity of his threat because there's two men with them in the car namely Peter and Vincent.
Bryan nodded and patted her thigh while helping her with the seatbelt before raising the thick and dark window back up until it was fully closed then leaned to whisper in her ear : "I like me an obedient Sloppy-Crotch Bunny."
"Why do you care about Linda and Alex so much?" Elena asked while trying to change the subject because by now she knows that this conversation is only going to get dirtier and dirtier if she gave this annoying fellow a single inch.
"Because I owe them so much," Bryan leaned on her shoulder and closed his eyes, "It's only possible for me to live and see another day after sister Linda and brother Alex took it upon themselves to feed me free meals in their most difficult times, despite knowing that doing so would complicate their already overcomplicated situation... They still dared to extend their arms to save me and stop me from getting swept away by the current."
Elena held his hands and stopped asking more once she noticed that Peter and Vincent were listening closely despite acting like they're focused on their tasks, she was afraid of exposing some of Bryan's secrets in this conversation continued any longer.
