PROLOGUE

A Prenozin stood inside her cave. She was a loner now, since her entire family had been killed off by the kingdom of Kalika. She was now left with her young son, who had killed one of the army troops. She had too. “Mother,” her son began shakily. “I smell someone.” She stared at him, her eyes full of worry. “Nobody is here, don’t worry.” A pause, and then a scraaaaape. Human-like hands covered with black gloves swept onto the side of the cave. “Don’t lie to your kids.” Another pause. “I know what you’ve done, err. Stepmotherother of Kruca?”
