Archie put away his Frostiron Gauntlets into his spatial ring and equipped his new gauntlets. Opening and closing his fists felt normal, no clunkiness. Archie then threw a few jabs into the air, his gauntlets producing a faint hum with every jab.
After throwing a couple of jabs, Archie stopped and looked at his gauntlets; instinctually knowing that the gauntlets now stored barely a percent of energy from the jabs he threw. , Archie thought.
Archie then started to put away his forging equipment into his spatial ring before activating Thorns
As the thorny vines wrapped around the tree branch a thought came to Archie,
Slowly Archie started to recede the mana he was channeling into the vines, but he did so in a way where he was starting to be pulled towards the cave’s ceiling opening. ; Archie smiled.
Just as Archie’s hands grabbed onto the tree branch, he deactivated his skill and jumped onto the jungle floor.
Looking around, Archie noticed that the jungle above his base had changed. Previously, any creature above level 20 just didn’t exist within the jungle above his base. Now the jungle housed many high leveled F-Grades and lower leveled E-Grades.
Walking through the jungle, Archie found a creature that caught his attention.
[Sentinel Platiniteshell Tortoise Lv 75]
The tortoise’s shell looked to be made out of silverish stone covered in thick moss and vines. Its skin; grey, and gnarled, not unsimilar to its shell’s color. Its limbs were covered in spikes, and its head in a similar state with two spikes protruding from its chin and two spikes curved inwards from its forehead and down towards its nose, acting like some type of head guard.
, Archie thought as he almost went past the tortoise. He had initially thought it was a boulder next to a small pond until the ‘boulder’ suddenly grew a neck that extended into the water.
Just wanting to test out the gauntlets with only his punches and no other skills active except Relentless Flurry
Archie’s right fist crashed into the tortoise’s shell, startling it with the sudden attack as it drank from the water. Archie smiled as he saw his blow didn’t even make a mark on its shell. This was perfect for him to test out his new gauntlets.
Archie then activated Relentless Flurry
Archie quickly dodged a spike of stone that emerged from under him. , Archie thought.
Archie punched through a stone spike that flew at him, kicked off the ground, and charged at the tortoise once more.
Archie kept punching the tortoise’s shell, specifically at the same point, while dodging the various earth spikes that shot at him. Suddenly the tortoise’s limbs shot back into its shell and started to spin around.
, Archie thought with a smile on his face as he jumped away from the spinning tortoise. The comical sight of a tortoise that looked to easily weigh three tons spinning itself, was a memory Archie would hold dear to his heart.
Suddenly, the tortoise shot towards him, still spinning. Archie dodged to his right, avoiding the sudden charge.
"No way!" Archie said, eyes wide. Memories of playing racing games and throwing spinning turtle shells at his younger brother, filled Archie with nostalgia.
Archie turned back to see that the tortoise had barreled through at least ten trees before it lost its speed. Its limbs emerged from its shell and swayed as it stood up, seemingly discombobulated from its spinning charge through the trees.
Archie kicked off the ground and charged at the tortoise. Delivering another flurry of blows at the tortoise's shell, keeping it in place between the tree that it was next to and himself.
Archie quickly noticed a small crack that appeared on the tortoise's shell from his last punch. Just as he was about to release another flurry of punches at the tortoise, Archie jumped backwards, feeling mana being channeled underneath him. And not a moment later an earth spike appeared where he previously stood.
, Archie noted, comparing the tortoise to the one he killed in the Solo Tutorial.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Archie then felt mana being channeled all around him, making him dodge in between the flurry of earth spikes that erupted from the earth.
Archie instinctually felt that his gauntlets were 25% full of stored, latent energy Archie wondered as he punched through an earth spike that was aimed at his head and his back was against a tree.
Archie felt mana being channeled underneath him, making him kick off the tree and charge at the tortoise while cocking back his right fist. Just as he was about to hit the tortoise, Archie activated Impact Dynamo
BOOM!
Two things occurred when Archie activated Impact Dynamo
A hole twice the size of Archie's fist punctured through the tortoise's shell, going through the tortoise's flesh and bone and out the other side.
The second thing that happened was Archie flung backwards from the recoil, crashing into a tree. With his right arm dislocated from its socket.
Archie slid down with his back against the trunk of the tree, staring at the hole going through the tortoise.
Archie chuckled.

Archie got up from the ground and popped his right shoulder back into place. Looking back down at his gauntlets, Archie took notice that his right gauntlet was empty while the left one was still 25% full. , Archie thought.
Archie then went over to the tortoise and activated Adrenaline Rush
Archie thought as he dropped the tortoise corpse into the ceiling hole of his cave, landing next to the three gorilla corpses he left behind.
Bralmir took out the massive sword he had placed in his forge and held it to his face. The blade itself was covered in grime and rust, looking as though it were about to crumble into dust. However, it radiated an aura of power and rage, enough to grab Bralmir’s full attention.
Bralmir took out a bottle of liquid from his storage with his left hand and took a swig of its contents before spitting on the blade. The liquid atop the blade sizzled before suddenly exploding in golden flames.
Bralmir set the blade atop his anvil and raised his hammer into the air, his face hardened. He took a breath, igniting the ember veins that flowed across his body. Faster than what could be seen by any average god, Bralmir’s hammer descended.
The sound of the strikes resounded throughout the cave, producing shockwaves that rattled the universe in its entirety. The shockwaves rattled the various suits of armor and equipment Bralmir stored in his heavily defended armory. The various suns and planets that hung within this universe shivered before exploding, unable to withstand the shockwaves.
Bralmir stared at the blade that was previously covered in grime and rust, for it had no resemblance to its previous appearance.
It gleamed with untold beauty, appearing to be forged from some sort of crimson-red material that had a blood-red hue with various golden runes covering the double-sided blade. Its hilt and cross-guard, now shown to be adorned with various jewels and golden threaded dark leather.
The blade itself released a roar that resounded throughout the multiverse, as though it were reborn and roaring in defiance against death.
Just as Bralmir vanished his hammer away, he felt a presence he hadn’t felt in cycles, just outside of his barriers.
Bralmir opened the barriers that surrounded his workshop, allowing a colossal humanoid male figure to suddenly appear beside him.
The man stood at a height of 8 meters, and every fiber of his being radiated danger. wearing a blood-red robe that showed off his muscular chest and covered the lower half of his body.
His eyes were crimson red, a similar color to its deep auburn, wild and coarse hair that cascaded around his imposing frame.
“Bralmir,” the man said, his eyes locked onto Bralmir’s. “You’ve…returned I hope?”
“Yes, I have Alaric,” Bralmir responded while handing Alaric the blade. “I apologize for the delayed repair and upgrade.”
“Think nothing of it, my friend,” Alaric replied with a somber smile on his face. “I am just glad to see you back again…Immortality has been a smidge duller without you in it, if in return a bit quieter.”
Bralmir smiled at Alaric’s words before quipping. “Being without your so-called food for cycles has done my health some good.”
“HA HA HA…Your humor hasn’t changed I see,” Alaric deadpanned. “You simply don’t understand great cuisine.”
“...You can’t put thirteen Eldritch gods, ones who walk down the Journey of poison and decay in a stew and call it cuisine,” Bralmir said while rubbing the top of his head. “It melted through your cooking pot that I made with condensed galaxies, three of them.”
“It was barely spicy,” Alaric rolled his eyes and waved his hand dismissively at Bralmir before the both of them broke out into laughter.
“I still remember the sight of Cognitus Prime’s finger melting off and falling onto the floor when a drop of it landed on it.” Bralmir chuckled.
“I could never forget that day, ”Alaric laughed at the memory. “The thing that made me lose it is when the finger suddenly grew rockets and reattached itself onto his hand.”
A silence filled the air between them as they reminisced on the past.
“Anything major happened while I was…away?” Bralmir asked.
“The gnomes created a Pantheon back in the 43rd cycle.” Alaric smiled and the look of joy on Bralmir’s face.
“You’re fucking with me right now.” Bralmir denied, his face lit with joy.
“I swear on my wife,” Alaric replied, touching the ring on his left ring finger. “Want me to tell you their Pantheon name?”
“No!” Bralmir panicked, “Let me guess… The Emporium?”
“Nope,” Alaric chucked. “Gnomaria Land.”
“Close enough,” Bralmir chuckled. “I love the gnomes… Have any of them decided not to forgo their disgustingly high affinity for mana? Or are they still adamant that stamina is far more superior?”
“Nope,” Alaric chuckled. “They still consider it to be useless and trade it for more stamina in D-Grade.”
“Tell me if any of them want a weapon to be forged, they’ve provided me far too much entertainment for it to be unpaid,” Bralmir smiled.
“I must leave now, I was with my wife before,” Alaric smiled while gesturing at his clothes.
“You best get back then, assuming Valkyris is just as vindictive as I remember her being.” Bralmir chuckled as Alaric shivered.
“Come by for a meal like old times,” Alaric asked. Just before Alaric disappeared, he turned back to face Bralmir. “It’s good seeing you again.”
Bralmir stared at where Alaric stood with a somber smile on his face, “And you as well, Alaric.”
