“ How much for this blade?” Tuz asked me if l was willing to sell the new blade, l had made.
“ Not for sale.”
lt was my personal equipment and Mr. Tuz was one of my personal buyers who would often buy my old gear for hefty prices saying I should start a company or not. In the collapsed world, there were many jobs people did and l was not interested in starting a company or not. I was not going to and would not do it. It was a personal thing of mine. I had mostly done many odd jobs under many aliases. The most prominent one was the name “Dehel Nicolas''. It was a name l made up with much difficulty. It was the meaning that was most important. I had been called by many names, even so many that I had forgotten my own name. Names were just things that people called out to each other. It is the meaning that is more important but l liked this name so I kept it. People remembered me by name but only a few knew its word meaning so l just went by this name.
“ Please, for this once. Just sell me this one. I will even triple the cost of this one.”
“ Okay, okay. Just don't tell anybody about me.” l handed over the hunting sword that l was gonna cut her with before. It was a strange feeling to handover a soul gadget that you were so close to being cut off to another friend or a client. I had long forgotten such things as friendship as I mostly kept to myself and never asked for things like these as these were things that could be lost at any time.
“ In return l need your hair. l was thinking of making a bunny for her.” At the mention of her, she knew who I was referring to. Both of us had talked about her. Tez pretty much raised her. I could still remember the day that I brought her home. She was a teenager or probably in her twenties. I had kept her as my employee and a helper but she was only a child. It was about her one hundred birthday this year. She was a cute little thing that l had raised myself. I had trained her and my watchdog was a cute little wolf Deprave. One of the high level ones with the characteristics of morphosis. It was able to change its shape and other things but it was not able to change its size or more importantly it`s mass. It was a very strong one, I could still remember the training exercises that I used to do with it. It was a convergent disease holder and he was like my personal servant slash watchdog as it insisted on being called. The best thing was Mr. Tuz was the one who brought him to my attention. I forgot it was not a he but a she. Such small things were not a matter of detail to me as I mostly was not such a nitpick person as there was always room for human error. It was not an era of science or technology but an era of luxury and settlement. Everything was known about a person's past. These soul gadgets were like a registry item that personified what these people did in their past. It contained detailed information about their life events. It was like a flashback mechanism where all of the person's life events could be replayed by the opposite parties. This was a world where there were no secrets to speak of.

The collapsed world was not a place where anything was just forgiven. There were proper measurements and detention centers for various crimes. A person's crime history was nothing to scoff off. I myself had been in various court sessions so that is why the alliance had created an artificial detention and torture chambers. Everything was settled peacefully with the joint talk of all different factions. There were about seven to eight factions that ruled the wastelands or more presently the collapsed world main rotary world. I was a vagabond belonging to the mesopotamian faction or more known as the persian gulf. The planet was still called by its previous name as “ Earth.”
“ We are almost there.” Tuz said while scaffolding at me asking for her. I think there was some misunderstanding so to clarify l mused and thought that l must have asked a very wrong thing, I only wanted to create a tiny wig for the bunny that I was thinking of creating for my little toy.
“ Only a little.” l asked apologetically.
“ Okay, just this once. Your souvenir keeping habit has not changed.” Tuz said very angrily.
“ Then how am I supposed to prove my hunting of you?” l countered with a question.
“ Oh! For that. Of course.” Suddenly it remembered what I was referring to. I was assigned to hunt the rabbit Deprave so I must bring some kind of proof for the city watch. It remembered and gave me a round of rabbit skin.
“ It should suffice to make them a fool.” l checked and it gave me the same ratings as of the rabbit Deprave. It looked like the form that had attacked the city gates but it was much cuter and much better looking than the hideous description Tuz had made. It matched all the features of the Deprave that had attacked the gates. It solved one problem, now it was time to solve the other calamity that had fallen on my house.
