“ Sir, there are no signs of tracking scent and devices. They are probably telling the truth.”
He bombarded me with a track of clean slots that made me move my finger away from the alarm system. It eased the two Depraves as they were also edging for a fight. At the very least, I could trust them as we had a lasting relationship that went over three hundred years. To be truthful, l was really perspiring if l had to fight not one but two advance Depraves at the same time. advance level Depraves were able to think and act like sentient beings unlike their counterparts the average Depraves that were like the cornerstone of the present society. advance Depraves were like the bosses and kings of the run out of the mill Depraves. I could still remember the hunt of the last advance depave that I had to undertake and it was also an assignment. Now that I think about it. It made more sense.
“ How can I trust you both now? You are both Depraves impersonating as individuals of the collapsed world. The mesopotamian sector will be very happy to undertake the arduous task of keeping you both.” l tried to blackmail them into surrendering as I myself did not want a fight against them.
“ You can because we have got what you wanted all this time.” It caught my attention.
“ What do you mean by that?” I asked Tuz as he was the one who made the comment.
“ Take this as an assignment with an advance Deprave’s complete made up body parts as the prize.” Tuz replied with a lot of confidence.
For a creator like me, such an offer was as if the sky had fallen on me. It was the most attractive offer that l had heard throughout my millennium life. The most rare of the rarest were the body parts of Depraves and an advanced level one was off the chart as it was the closest to the original secret of the world that l was referring to and it was the most wanted equipment that a maker like to get. The Pinyin that was made out of them were top notch and could easily make their tier SSS+. I only had two or three tier S+ even though I had lived and hunted for so long. It was the height of richment that a person could dream of in the collapsed world.
“ Dehel, you should not trust them.” Ellaya screamed at me to come back to my senses.
“ You should not say that.” l said with my fingers removing them from the emergency button.
“ I think that I can trust them as l have been in business with them for a long time and it can broker a fair partnership with them.”
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“ Yashir, you should not trust. You just saw how they attacked your base even though it was supposed to be secretive.” Ellaya was upset about not winning the match. I could sympathize with her a little.
“ That is enough. I gave them a consumable dimensional projectile that they could use at least once to come here and that is how they came in. As far as the base being secretive, it is not as much of a secret. The sector is already aware of its whereabouts so its secret is not much of a deal for me.” l affirmed that there was no problem with the overall situation.
Ellaya was told to sever her talk of no trust as I knew that they could be trusted. It was to the point that major components of my base were only able to be available thanks to Tuz so I could do a little bit of trust in them as they were my frequent clients and most of that, they knew about Ellaya. I had talked about her to Tuz on a number of occasions. Before Ellaya, Tuz was my only friend or colleague as I would like to call it, however that relation has changed with the gender swipe and whatnot so it was doubtful that it still held off.
“ Dehel! Can we talk for a bit?” Tuz was adamant about giving me the invitation or something so I nodded in affirmation.
“ Amir, why do you not take Zayn away and give him some clothes with some toothpicks?” l signaled towards my servant to take away the audience and that it was alright to act now.
“ Yeah! Very thankful.” Zayn was in a foul move as his clothes were torn and bloody, a reminder that he had fought with Ellaya. Zayn was constantly rummaging his mouth as I had just torn one of his salivary glands to take a venom sample.
“ Sorry about that.” l apologized to Zayn for the attack on his mouth.
“ No problem but man, you could have given me some warning.” Zayn shrugged off my concern.
“ Does it hurt a lot?” l asked with an apologetic tone.
“ No, it is fine. I can handle this much pain. My wounds will heal within a day or two so you do not need to have a guilty heart or anything.” Zayn summarized his thoughts.
“ Oh! Then O.K. Amir, why not take our guest and Ellaya away.” l said to Amir to take away the disturbance so l and Tuz could have a discussion about the invitation and the reward that was about to be in the balance sheet.
Amir took both of the nuisances away. Zayn followed without saying a word but Ellaya was not listening and was saying some gibberish about not being able to win. She usually did that when she was in a bad position. I was not a bad example for this as I had not taught her much and spoiled her for most of the time. I was only interested in teaching her things like self defense and fighting that actually were more important in the collapsed world than in the previous failed regime. It was a world where things could go wrong at any moment. It was the only memorable lesson l got through my years of exploitation. The world before the collapse was more about keeping the peace that the world had put into effect but after the collapse such morals were just namesake and could not hold the important task of keeping the world peace possible.
