Ellaya was still a child to me but how come a child came in front of dimensional domain and how it was a child in the collapsed world was a mystery to me and till now l had been trying to find a similar happening in the world. As I mentioned before, in the present era, it was not possible to have kids or children so seeing a child was a rare sight to behold. The thing keeping the population afloat was the usual annexation of the people spewed out of the time vortexes. They were given the choice of their own affiliation and sectors depending on what they liked but most of them only chose the sector they were thrown out of. Some of them had powerful Pinyin while others were mediocre and various other things.
“ Yes, you were saying something.” l looked toward Tuz and asked about the things that he was gonna talk about. Tuz had changed into his usual form so it was more comfortable to talk to him now. Seeing as a female, did not suited my eyes as it was not my cultural thing to talk about. It was a strange thing but I stopped myself from talking about it as I did not want to offend him or her whatever it was.
“ I can help you with finding the origin of Ellaya. We at the council had been keeping track of her so we know a thing or two about her.” Tuz replied.
“ What do you know more about her? You are not even affiliated with her so why then go through such a hectic work for just a child?” l asked as a looming cloud of fear was starting to appear over my head.
“ Then who else is keen in a case like her? Which sectors should l be alert of?” l was referring to the human sectors as one 's mates are the ones one should be the most cautious about. As l did not trust the humans as they were the most cunning of all beings and also the most deceptive. I had made it a personal thing not to ever trust a fellow human being after the numerous setbacks they had caused me.
“ As of now, no sector is interested in her so you do not need to jump all over the place. It is alright. We Depraves are interested for completely different reasons.” Tuz reply calmed my nerves.
“ And what reasons might there be?” l asked.
“ It should not be of concern to you for what reasons we had been keeping tabs on her. You are not someone that needs to know of such concerns at all.” Tuz jammed the question with an overbearing remark.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“ Why are you not telling me the reason or it is something much too secretive for you?” l was affirmed on getting some kind of logical answer from her.
“ You will get it when the time comes but it is not the right time for it. It has yet to come.” Tuz slammed the question and stopped speaking.
“ Why not?” l tried to counter and keep the argument going but Tuz did not reply and looked at the direction of the house that l had made.
The dimensional domain l owned was like a hill made of various equipment lying here and there with different Pinyin just lying around. As I mentioned before, l was a manufacturer of soul gadgets collectively called Pinyin so l made numerous of them in my spare time. All of them were put under a small protective shield so they could not be stolen and there was an inventory system at place. I just made a certain number of Pinyin and threw them in protective shields. It was actually Ellaya who tidied up the place. I can still remember the days when this whole dimensional domain was like a blacksmith's shop where there was no flow and sharp spikes everywhere. Now it was a small hill-like place with different Pinyin specially lying around, some were installed into the ground, some inside different facilities and amidst all this, was the home or the residential quarters that were at the top of the hill.
Dimensional domains came in different sizes and shapes so it was not a place normal people liked to transverse. They were filled with various Depraves and whatnot. I remember going into a domain once and it led me to a desert-like place where there was nothing at sight except sand. To top it off, it was the place where a Deprave was hiding. I can still remember the day when l had to get my sinking shoes out of sand with the continuous attacks of the Deprave who had the home location as it was a sand type Deprave with razor sharp teeths and it had the nasty habit of always attacking from below. The commission l got out of the hunt was pretty good so l just kept my head down but if l was given a choice after that, l always made the topography of the dimensional domains my first priority so as not to get caught in a whirlpool like that again in my life.
“ Dehel, the food’s ready. Why don’t you bring your guest home?” Ellaya spoke through the house intercom and it was what broke the silence between me and Tuz. l was going to speak but Tuz was a little faster than me.
“ Why not? I would love to eat. Let's go, dehel.” Tuz called out to me.
“ Yeah! Why not?”
l was caught in the middle of my brain impulse train. There was a lot of confusion and l needed time to process all the things from the fact that my most frequent clients were Depraves to the fact that Ellaya was under the watch of Depraves. It was a blessing that I kept her under lock and key and never let her travel alone. Amir always accompanied her whenever there was an outside world tour or for restocking and training purposes.
