Jet is a Bantan, a Draconian species known for two things: their massive strength, and becoming notorious space pirates. Jet starts out on his homeworld in the galaxy of Gano as a slave, captured in war and sold to preserve his life. After meeting a human offworlder at his place of servitude, a mishap changes the course of Jet''''s destiny. He saves the human''''s life, and in return is offered a chance at another life. He finally gets to see the stars... but there''''s more strings attached to the deal than Jet was expecting! Author''''s Note: I wrote this story specifically for the RR Magazine contest and as a challenge to myself. I had never developed the Dragonoid-dominated planet of Banta in my sci-fi universe setting, and I''''d never written a web novel on demand before. The galaxy of Gano is my very first and oldest story setting, I created it around 1989 and have been working on it ever since. That''''s over 35 years of active development, so there''''s lots of lore to explore!
