Orbiting over a stricken world, blighted by the hubris of their ancestors, an isolated group of alien scientists work tirelessly to repair the creatures and ecosystems of the planet over which they stand vigil, but their work is fallen into obscurity in the wake of more successful colonisation, and more recent first contact events. Left to their own devices, they have all but forgotten their secondary purpose of enforcing a quarantine of the dangerous mutated creatures which inhabit the planet.
