Trent, a gay rural Midwestern boy, grows up a less-than-perfect environment. isolated by being different, frustrated, and confused about life in general. He discovers that love is often a series of decisions about what you want to become, where you seek friendships, and the loyalty of similar men. This is about growing up, coming out, and self-discovery taking him from a shy, backward outcast, to an accepted member of his community, despite the typical false starts, trials of discovery, and growing up outside of the general stream of society.
